About Us

Galveston Historical Foundation will be producing the 45th annual Dickens on The Strand festival, held the first weekend in December. The annual event welcomes 35,000+ to historic Galveston Island and features entertainment, food and craft vendors, Dickens descendants and numerous special events. Downtown Galveston's architecture is a perfect backdrop to the stories of Charles Dickens.
